Press Release : Announcing Biogaz Europe 2010 We are delighted to announce the launch of Biogaz Europe, a new conference whose primary purpose is to create a new and meaningful platform and to drive forward the development of the nascent biogas sector in France.
The Current Context Whilst France has a recognised huge potential for biogas production from agricluture and waste streams - in fact one of the most significant potentials of all Europe - the development of the sector has nonetheless been slow compared to other European countries. But …
The pace is picking up ! Recent calls for projects have generated an encouraging response and moves are underway to improve the regulatory framework that would stimulate and facilitate new investment in the sector.
The Conference The conference programme has been devised to provide a panoramic view of the European ambition for biogas and leading success stories from Germany, Sweden and Italy and will set the French experience against this backdrop. The objective of this debate will be to draw out and identify the most pressing priorities to boost the development of the French sector from these multi-perspectives. The Programme will also explore in more détail innovative uses and ways of capturing the energy from biogas, including biomethane for direct injection and/or transport, mini-biogas systems, novel heat recovery and integrated concepts and a zoom on the initiatives underway to develop the sector in the Region Rhône-Alpes.
